This is how housing benefit should always be paid, whether the tenant is vulnerable (since this is IDS, read “maybe won’t cough up having spent it on booze, fags & 50 inch TVs”) or otherwise. The problem is that with universal benefit, if it ever really gets off the ground, other benefits are included which a landlord has absolutely no right to have access to. Are they going to split off the HB element? Oh dear, back to the original system then and never mind the unpardonable waste of money.
hi , i think that if this starts it wont just stop at that, they will be saying we will also pay for your water bills and gas electric too just incase you fall behind and get into arrears, just another interference from big brother butting there nose in everything, control always springs to mind for me.,
