Mail editor is new chairman of press complaints organisation – Pride’s Purge

Paul Dacre: He looks as though even he can't believe the news.

Paul Dacre: He looks as though even he can’t believe the news.

Oh, for goodness’ sake.

Despite the fact that his publication (you can’t call it a newspaper) has attracted more complaints than any other rag, Daily Mail editor Paul Dacre has been named as the chairman of the organisation where, in future, you’ll be making those very complaints.

Here’s Tom Pride on the matter:

Imagine you wanted to complain to the brand new press regulation body about an article a tabloid newspaper like – say – the Daily Mail has published.

You’d need to send your complaint to the new chair of the Editors’ Code of Practice at the newly set up Independent Press Standards Organisation.

Let’s just check who that might be.

Oh yes, here we are.

That would be a certain Paul Dacre.

Who also happens to be the editor of the Daily Mail.

Do these people think we’re thick? Or what?

Well that’s it then the whole purpose is screwed from the beginning another waste of tax payers money and another inept scheme from the tories. Maybe they should be the ones picking out ragwort from common land as that is all they are fit for.

It is perfectly obvious that this Tory maladministration has absolutely no respect for the opinions of the majority of the electorate; their bosses! They continue to try to impose their controls for their own benefits without having any regard for the consequences, which are surely and justifiably going to be their demise.

Is this the same man who is said to be referred to by his colleagues and employees as Paul ‘Psycho’ Dacre? The same man often reported in parts of the media as throwing impressive and threatening tantrums when crossed or disagreed with? As if we didn’t have enough socio-paths in positions of power over the people of this country.

I am sure there will be many comments on here and on the FB about “foxes/hen houses,” “poachers/game keepers” and so on…

So my addition to said items is “putting the paedophiles in charge of the children’s homes…” Oh wait, what, that already happened.
