What is the matter with everyone? asks the Deaeper blog.

Are we all so full of apathy that unless the Trades Unions tell us to go down to London and protest against a certain cut or tax we do nothing and stay home and safely on our computers,  tablets or mobiles.

    I don’t think people are actually scared Mike, just got lots going on in their own lives.

    Not everyone is like that unfortunately the mass media ignore most protests, did you know for example that a group of us have been camping out on the grounds of Stafford Hospital, yes the one the scandal hit beeb calls scandal hit, to save our excellent services which are being removed to pay of the PFI debt of an inferior hospital 18 miles up the road, no thought not we have only been there five months now through all sorts of weather conditions but as it is positive about our hospital no one wants to know, it isn’t just public apathy it is the editors who back the government and not what people really want.

      I’m sure Vox Political ran a piece about this a while ago, with all the relevant facts. It might be worth going back to it…
