Congratulations to Tom Pride for covering this first. He writes:

UKIP MEP Janice Atkinson likes to go on (and on) a lot about people she frequently refers to as “feckless” parents.

Although to be fair, as Janice has herself been taken to court twice for failing to pay for the upkeep of her own son – despite earning £79,000 a year plus expenses as an MEP –  presumably she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to feckless parenting.

Nice reminder for the rest of the UK about absent “parents” not absent fathers as the media like to refer to them. I have brought up my son from the age of six right to next year which will be his 21st Birthday without a single penny from his feckless mother – and when I say without a penny it is not a metaphor she has not bought him a penny chew, birthday or Christmas card in fifteen years, despite ten of those living less than 100 yards away from his home. These kind of scum need exposing for what they are and I get very offended when people and the media assume its negligent men to blame. How many of you assumed it was the man on the right when seeing this article? Even I confess my guilt despite venting my rage every time the media say “deadbeat fathers”.
