No Mr Farage – 80% of Brits do NOT want Britain out of the EU – Pride’s Purge

Last Updated: January 22, 2015By

150122farage-leave-euTom Pride writes: Nigel Farage reckons 80% of the British public want to leave the EU.

Nigel got his dubious figure from the Daily Express:

express leave EU

.

The Daily Express in turn got their dubious figure from two Eurosceptic Tory MPs who came up with their own dubious figure after putting leaflets through doors in their constituencies in a small part of Northamptonshire.

Needless to say, the statistics are credible only to idiots (take a bow Mr Farage).

Quite right.

None of the reasons that UKIP give for coming out of the EU stand up to scrutiny. One reason that would be good enough is TTIP & CETA with ISDS, but Nigel supports that. I wonder if big tobacco will try and sue us over the introduction of plain packaging for cigarettes. That might be why there trying to rush it through before TTIP strengthens their case.

not 80%, but enough that the boot fillers don’t want a referendum. Why? Well, you’ve heard of ATOS… Do you know what they do for a living? Win public contracts under the harmonised EU rules intended to stop corruption.

How many companies do you think could service the public need at a local level, yet are frozen out because the EU system is naturally preferential to those companies that can afford the lawyers & spies to understand it better than the civil service.

Places me in a tricky spot, as I’d be tactically voting for a different result from England, despite wanting out of the EU. But crises focus the mind, and I’d rather be in an independent Scotland in the EU than under the Westminster plutocracy outside the EU and human rights protections.

But then, I’m weird, I totally don’t understand how it is my responsibility to help the English left subvert the democratic process against the English right. You guys can stuff your own ballot boxes.

They’re UK ballot boxes, which makes them your business too.
