SNP lead over Labour down to 10% – Political Scrapbook

The SNP’s lead over Labour has narrowed, according to a new poll, but the nationalists are still in line to gain more than 20 seats at the general election, says Political Scrapbook.

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon

The latest TNS poll put the SNP on 41% and Labour on 31%, compared to recent surveys showing the SNP with a lead of more than 25 points.

A Scottish Labour spokesperson said: “These polls show that Scottish Labour is still behind and has a gap to close. But in the end the only people who will benefit from these polls are David Cameron and the Tories.”

This is the third story today in which the SNP has taken a battering. Vox Political was accused of bias against that party yesterday so today, Yr Obdt Srvt opened up a search engine, typed in “SNP news”, and these were the top three results.

It seems the SNP has more to concern it than alleged bias by a small blog!

Linking in to your other post this evening, those who are planning on voting SNP just to “spite” Labour for perceived or actual happenings in the independence referendum should think long & hard. Not only will it make ANOTHER Tory minority stolen government likely, but it could put Theresa May in charge. That makes about 100+ good reasons to return to Labour, and use your votes to make sure they return to the political agenda we all want & need.
