ChickenDave finally confirms he’s too scared for TV debate with Miliband

After weeks of stalling and speculation, David Cameron has finally admitted he has no intention of taking part in any one-on-one TV debate with Ed Miliband.
Perhaps he never intended to participate in such a debate; perhaps he has given it serious consideration and only decided today to veto the project.
In the end, it doesn’t matter.
We learned today that David Cameron is afraid.
He won’t stand up and defend his record, so we must conclude that he is scared of the exposure resulting from such an examination.
He is worried that he will end up revealing – on national television – the true nature of his government over the last few years.
Take Workfare, for example – mandatory programmes of work lasting many weeks, in which the jobless are forced to labour for private companies in return for their benefits. These programmes break Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which forbids forced or compulsory labour, even though the UK has signed that declaration. They use public money to fund forced labour for private corporations, meaning firms get to choose between salaried and ‘free’ staff – suppressing wages in the real economy, and they allow tax-avoiding companies to use free staff funded with taxes that they themselves refuse to pay. Finally, Workfare subverts the minimum wage, allowing corporations to avoid paying any wages at all.*
If Cameron appears on television in a situation he cannot manage in some way, then unwelcome questions about Workfare may be put to him, and even if another politician doesn’t point out the inconvenient facts, the questioner certainly will.
Cameron will do anything to keep the facts about his government away from the public eye.
That’s why he is running from the debates like a headless chicken.

I would say call me Dave isn’t man enough to have one-on-one debate with Ed Miliband.
I expect most of the reactionary media will make excuses for him. Lets hope that most people recognise the reality that Cameron is a dishonest and lightweight politician.
Amongst his latest tripe is “cannot be debating in the middle of an election campaign”
….oh lord, does ANYONE see that as a a viable reason?
It`s not as if the tv debates or the election snuck up on him & went BOO!, is it?
The Mirror`s ‘Debate Chicken’ must be clucking it`s a*se off in the last week or 2 :)
A Politician who has no faith and thus unsure of his policies and legislation is no politician for me, I have to wonder how this will go down around the world given he is a man who loves to stand on that world pedestal.
Ed n Dave are on channel 4 this week with Jeremy Paxman ,could be fun
Wait, isn’t this the same PM that cancelled PMQs for Thatcher’s funeral? And in fact was unavailable for several weeks prior to that as well? I seem to recall the Dennis Skinner speach pointing this out too?
