When Tory plans backfire, they do it in a big way!

Remember the letter to the Daily Telegraph in support of Conservative policies, by more than 100 ‘business leaders’ – many of whom turned out to be personal friends of David Cameron’s wife?

Remember the savage and unwarranted personal attack on Ed Miliband in the Daily Mail, over what turned out to be his perfectly normal love life?

Of course you do.

But were you aware of David Cameron’s romantic past?

Sue Jones is. She told us all about it in a recent Facebook post:

“100 ex-girlfriends of Ed Miliband now writing a letter to the Daily Telegraph.
“Meanwhile, Cameron’s ex-girlfriend, Laura Adshead, writes exclusive on why she became a nun.”

Its the same old same old done by the same old. Having been unfortunate enough to have lived through the longest, dirtiest political campaign in history (Scottish Referendum). I can see the same nonsense being churned out again by the same people mere months after having done so in a different context.

Having ramped up the dirt in that campaign I am not surprised by these ‘letters’ or by Michael Fallon’s scurrilous and unseemly personal attack on Ed Milliband.

Just a few weeks ago David Cameron stood at the despatch box promising a campaign on the issues not personalities blah blah..
