Good. Even his endorsement of Liz Kendall won’t mean much.

Let’s hope his constituency party deselect him and bring in somebody with a socialist background, or who at least cares about their constituents, rather than business leaders who can look after themselves.

Tristram Hunt has pulled out of the Labour leadership race after it became clear he was nowhere near gathering the 35 nominations from MPs he needed to stand. The shadow education secretary said on Wednesday he would instead endorse the campaign of Liz Kendall, the other party moderniser in the campaign.

His constituents DON’T like him – ‘Posh boy from London, parachuted in from London, stays in London, he’s never in Stoke and knows nothing about us. He makes comments that Stoke is failing and his interest only lies in the University’.

And therein lies the problem. He only got votes because he’s ‘meant’ to represent the Labour Party and most constituents are tribal Labour voters. People are now going to UKIP in their droves because of this and Labour need to do something about it. WAKE UP LABOUR !!!

I agree completely. This seems to have become a Labour policy somewhere down the line and it is nothing but an utter, unmitigated disaster.
There are plenty of real Labour members. Let’s have some of them.
