Lame duck Cameron concedes all to Eurosceptic backbenchers

Oh, look. David Cameron has given in to bullying from his backbenchers and agreed to all of their demands about the EU referendum.

Remember what This Blog said about Cameron being a lame duck?

If you can smell burning, that will be his tail-feathers roasting.

Downing Street will move to head off a damaging Conservative Eurosceptic rebellion by offering assurances that ministers will not use public funds to pay for a final burst of government spending on publicity in favour of a yes vote in the EU referendum.

Ministers, who agreed overnight not to hold the referendum on the same day as the Scottish and other devolved elections next May, are expected to make clear that publicly funded glossy publications will not be dispatched to households in the final phase of the campaign.

As I said last month, the slim majority the Government has may lead to another Hung Parliament within a couple of years, but in the meantime it is an open door to extremism.

C’mon Camoron are you are man or a mouse? (squeak, squeak, squeak.) And the election only 6 weeks or so ago, how is the not so Mighty Mouse going to keep those naughty rebellious Backbenchers in line for the next five years? You can’t simply flog everything Davey Boy as some of those naughty rebels have promised their constituents that the NHS is safe in Tory hands. Damned if you do damned if you don’t Davey Boy. ROFL!
