Edward Heath ‘child sex abuse’ allegation to be investigated – properly?

If these allegations turn out to be correct, Heath will be another high-level Tory who has escaped justice. It is past time the public started demanding answers and forcing convictions where they’re not forthcoming.

The police watchdog is to investigate Wiltshire police’s handling of a child sex abuse claim allegedly made against former Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath in the 1990s.

The force is to be probed after allegations made by a retired senior officer were referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

An IPCC spokesman said it is to investigate “allegations concerning Wiltshire Police’s handling of an alleged claim of child sexual abuse made in the 1990s”.

He added: “It is alleged that a criminal prosecution was not pursued, when a person threatened to expose that Sir Edward Heath may have been involved in offences concerning children.

“In addition to this allegation, the IPCC will examine whether Wiltshire Police subsequently took any steps to investigate these claims.”

Heath, a Conservative, was prime minister between 1970 and 1974 and had a home in Wiltshire county. He died in 2005.

Heath was lurking round Westport Park Stoke On Trent in the 70s, at the sea cadets hut

The investigation is some 60 or more years too late.

This case is somewhat different to others. The allegations were made by someone who was potentially being brought to trial over sex crimes. He then threatened to implicate Edward Heath and wrongly the trial did not proceed. Heath was a target at the time as he wasn’t married and was likely a homosexual. The allegations could well be made up.

That isn’t the issue. The issue is whether Wiltshire Police chose not to investigate the allegations because Heath was a prominent Conservative.

It is best NOT to single out one political party when it comes to involvement in paedophilia and paedophile rings because none of the major political parties is squeaky clean, and neither are the police, the judiciary, social services and far too many of the “Great and the Good.”
The number of Super Injunctions is quite frankly mind boggling.

    Correction to above

A woman who was in charge of a brothel had been due to stand trial but said she would expose the top politician, according to reports.

That doesn’t change the issue, of course.

Quite, and what “correction?” I am merely being very careful what I post on the subjects of paedophiles and paedophile rings involving the “Great and Good” and polticians. Because Mike has to be careful what gets posted on the forum.
I could write loads but I suspect my front door would get knocked down within hours, and I would be asked where I got the information.

Another point: about time some of these VIP sex cases were brought to public attention while they are alive.

Why do they wait until these b*****ds are dead, those poor kids being destroyed by yet another evil Tory, they are the destroyers of our children and our society.

They’ll say that they’ll investigate it thoroughly but they won’t as what will be revealed about who, and they’ll be a lot of them and what they all got up to both in the past and in the present will shake the British establishment to its very core and possibly fracture it completely and we the people should be outraged, we should all demand the report about this still goes ahead and all who are guilty revealed and if still alive, punished!
