If food banks are only used by ‘those with drug, alcohol and mental health problems’, why aren’t Tory meetings held there?

Last Updated: September 19, 2015By

If this was true, would it not be logical to hold Conservative Party meetings at local foodbanks? This Writer has not heard of George Osborne or Iain Duncan Smith attending food banks, even though they fit Cllr Winn’s profile perfectly.

A Tory councillor has provoked a Twitter backlash after claiming that food banks are only visited by “those with drug, alcohol and mental health problems”.

Mark Winn, who is also a civil servant with the Ministry of Defence and until recently held an appointment on Buckinghamshire council’s health scrutiny committee, hit out at what he called “the BBC doing Labour’s bidding” after watching an episode of Casualty on Saturday night.

What does he mean ONLY people with mental health problems? Mental illness is very serious.

Plus even Norman Tebbit accepts food banks are not a source of free food: https://andrewhennager.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/normantebbitrevised1.png

I’m not on twitter myself, but I’d appreciate it, if someone tweeted this link to the councillor. He won’t listen to anyone he considers leftie – but he might listen to Norman Tebbit: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/normantebbit/100272726/my-visit-to-a-food-bank-too-many-young-adults-lack-the-basic-skills-to-care-for-themselves/

I don’t know if I even need to add “allegedly” to this.

Another typical Tory with everything it could want but desperate to deny the truth about the results of its vendetta against the unemployed and those unable to fend for themselves.

There wouldn’t be a food bank big enough.

Pompous Ass, typical of his type. I wonder what runs through the veins of these toffs, acid maybe certainly not blood.

Another overweight and smug Nasty Party character eager to turn the clocks back to the 18th/19th centuries.

NMac they are actually doing exactly what you say, even the Labour party have supported their drastic policies. Truly I can see what is happening in Syria will take place in the UK when the rest of the population wake up and realize what this shower of pocket lining criminals are doing.

I doubt if any food bank would be big enough for a tory meeting. They’d probably want to be paid even if they stole from it.

The Tory Party isn’t all that big. If you mean they’d steal the stock, I think you have a point.

I am a mental health sufferer and have used a food bank before but that doesn’t mean I go there to get high and pissed, I went there because I was in need of help and food! Another smug, rich, arrogant, out of touch, pompous, pig shagging posh boy who’s been handed everything to him in life and not earned one bloody thing, can see by the look of his face, he’s a greedy pig, he should cut down on the pheasant and quail and expensive wine the fat, lazy b*****d, get him the sack!
