Pig-gate: It seems David Cameron has done more than put his snout in the trough

flyingpigs

When Tories fight, the battle can turn very mean indeed.

It seems Lord Ashcroft, upset that David Cameron did not offer him a top job in the Coalition government after the 2010 election, has revealed details of an incident during the Prime Minister’s student years in which Call-Me-Dave allegedly had sexual relations with a dead pig’s head.

Has any UK Prime Minister been able to weather such extreme allegations in the past?

It seems there is photographic evidence. If this exists, the image must be really grisly and if it ever comes to light, one wonders how much of it will be fit for publication.

It is very funny. The various tweets going the rounds are great. It is what you expect when in office. There will always be silly stories appearing from student days. I am sure Osborne can expect the same when he is the next PM.

    • Mike Sivier September 21, 2015 at 12:44 pm - Reply

That depends on whether he gets to be PM and whether photographic evidence exists of him performing bizarre activities with farmyard animals (or, indeed, of Cameron).

Think I know why Dave likes George Osborne!……he didn’t go to Eton so was known as an oik oik!

      @Hayfords
“I am sure Osborne can expect the same when he is the next PM.”………unless Boris beats him to it. Don’t you know about Gidiot’s dalliance with a lady of dubious morality? The lines of coke on the desk?

      • Mike Sivier September 21, 2015 at 1:06 pm - Reply

        Jeremy could beat them both.

Boris is popular with the public, but not with the other MPs. Osborne is favourite and on the betting. The MPs cut the candidates down to 2 before it is put to the local constituent party members. That way the winner had the support of the parliamentary party (unlike some other parties). I had a good bet on last election. It was a clear Conservative majority and UKIP to get one seat. I bought a car with the winnings. I have already made a couple of bets. One for Corbyn to leave by end 2015 with good odds. And one by end 2016 with not very good odds. It looks likely from the betting that he will be gone before end next year.

Isn’t betting what got the economy into such a mess back in 2007-8?

Ashcroft is a nasty piece of work, as is Cameron. It seems that the two nasties have fallen out with each other, all because Ashcroft couldn’t buy himself a government job. It also highlights the corruption.

    • Mark Brown September 21, 2015 at 11:08 pm - Reply

well actually it highlights the LACK of corruption :P

      • Mike Sivier September 22, 2015 at 10:52 am - Reply

Corruption in the Conservative Party, prevented by the Liberal Democrats – who, for all their faults, aren’t Conservatives, is still corruption.

My concern is that Osborne will become PM sooner rather than later. He will run the country AND hold the purse strings. Can things get any worse?

    • Mike Sivier September 21, 2015 at 12:42 pm - Reply

      He can’t have both jobs.

      • Rachel September 21, 2015 at 12:55 pm - Reply

I know, but he’ll jolly well make sure that his current fiscal policies are adhered to.

I must admit that I am a bit wary of this story. Contemporary Tories seem to be capable of unsurpassed levels of corruption, deceit, propaganda and character assassination. Unless any credible evidence transpires this is unlikely to be seen as any more than a grudge. I pray that this story does get well circulated and cause a major crisis. Even if he is completely innocent I hope this allegation taints Camoron in the same way that his slurs, comments and ridicule have tainted thousands of others. Poetic justice.

I really do not want to see Cameron porking a pig’s head.

These seems to much further than the pedofile acts of his well esteemed coleauges who are at present being investigated for partaking in the disgraceful practise of child sexual abuse, Mr Cameron has taken this one step further and has so it seems partaken in the practise of sexual acts with defenseless animals, , What new reaches of lower acts of human behaviour will this man carry out, what did i hear mentioned the bombing of refugees from the poorest countries in the world, or was that tax increases for the lower working classes and unemployed . would not surprise me if he lower himself to F**k a pig then the he would have no regrets to f**k the lower classes .

    And while the hilarity ensued…

Giddiot signed off on probably the worst financial deal ever in the new hinkly nuclear deal/plant.
    Well over priced.
A design that is unproven and behind schedule (not working) in other countries.
A massive 2billion loan guarantee to the investors in case it fails to be built so the losses are socialised but the profit, if it works, are privatised.
A pre-agreed rate for electric production which is the most expensive cost of electricity generation once built.
And, the icing on the cake, a guaranteed increasing rate for supply for 25 years once built.

Economy safe in tory hands? Yeah and pigs might… oh wait, he did what!

    • Rachel September 21, 2015 at 10:29 pm - Reply

A distraction maybe, but should we really tolerate a PM who ****s pigs? – even if they’re dead? And how will that fare with markets in the ME e.g. Saudi Arabia, one of this govt’s targets for the sale of armaments (which I don’t agree with)? I don’t know how he should be punished for this ‘misdemeanour’, but others have been publicly crucified for less.

There are other, more important, issues that Cameron and the govt should be addressing. But most, if not all, of the Conservative manifesto has been reversed in the last four months, as were the manifestos of the Coalition in 2010. Hinkley C, ‘The greenest government ever’, tax credits, house building, school dinners… We can all fill in the blanks.

As I said earlier, I suspect that Osborne will be even worse for this country.

And Boris? Think of cross between Donald Trump and Sarah Palin.

I hope this is the beginning of the end for this, rich, posh, arrogant b*****d and his cronies’ downfall, if one of his own is attacking him, that’s a bad sign, shows there’s dissension in the ranks and once that happens, it spreads like a virus, seen it happen before and it could, hopefully, happen again with these fascist, greedy scumbags and with a lot of luck, help bring them all tumbling down and out of office, which would be poetic justice and great for the people and the country.

So Cameron ****s pigs? Harhar, harhar, harhar. Of greater concern is the tendency of many of his personal choices as advisers to end up in court charged with various offences including but not limited to sexual offences against children. The most recent is here. http://www.rt.com/uk/314701-doug-richard-sex-charges/

Does the pig have a name?

Many Tories could fit the bill of a headless pig.

  18. David Bacon September 21, 2015 at 5:38 pm - Reply

Cameron’s a meaty kind of bloke, so how could they tell which was the pig? Was the pig called Horace Johannson? Surely this story is worth the pen of Arthur Conan Doyle.

    • Mike Sivier September 21, 2015 at 8:56 pm - Reply

Why? We’ve seen no evidence that it is fiction yet.

  19. hayfords September 21, 2015 at 6:23 pm - Reply

Of course everyone is assuming the story is true. There have been several people today that have said that Cameron was not a member of the particular drinking club. It was not the Bullingdon Club. There are a number of such clubs at Oxford. At Cambridge it is the same including The Assassins Club. Of course as a left wing blog you would obviously like it to be true, but that is not the same as it being true.

    • Mike Sivier September 21, 2015 at 8:53 pm - Reply

Why are you so keen to tell me what I like? Let’s have a little more courtesy, please.
The dining club in question is named as Piers Gaveston, and the alleged incident occurred as an “initiation” – so it’s entirely possible that it took place, no matter what those people say. Having just made an unevidenced comment about me, you should appreciate that their words don’t have any bearing.

I have no secrets! There’s certainly nothing in my past like pig-gate.
In the words of Tony Hancock: “I have always led a good, decent, honest, boring life!”
I’ll take everybody’s messages of sympathy as read.

Would anyone like to bet against pictures of Cameron appearing during some visit to a farm and being captioned that the purpose of the visit was to find him a new partner? If he has set foot inside a butchers then they will caption that he was trying to find his old flame! If anyone from Private Eye is looking in then please feel free to use these suggestions!

Can you imagine PMQ’s next week if the entire opposition benches were covered with MP’s all reading Ashcroft’s book, not saying a word, just sitting there engrossed in it,Cameron would have to resign before PMQ’s was over! My money is on the SNP for this one.

    • Mike Sivier September 22, 2015 at 10:28 am - Reply

I don’t think he’d resign, although he would certainly be embarrassed by it.

You know how the mask from V for Vendetta has become something of cult icon well picture people trying to get pictured by Cameron wearing a Pig mask,he is NEVER,EVER going to live this one down! Imagine the sort of scene in the Commons Bar with some MP eating a bag of Pork Scratchings and enquiring if Cameron had ever met the source of the crackling socially!
Personally I would dismiss the incident as a Pig in a poke!

Yougov have a poll out today. It shows 62% of people say the story happened years ago and they don’t care about it. Only 25% thought it was important and the rest were don’t knows.
