What does the future hold for the Liberal Democrats? | Pertinent Problems

Last Updated: October 2, 2015By

What are the Liberal Democrats good for, after Nick Clegg led them into political oblivion?

What I found particularly striking was how little we know about the Lib Dems and what they actually stand for.

Party policy on Trident has yet to have been chalked up and while they have pledged to build an ambitious 300,000 houses a year, it has yet to explain clearly to the public how that will come about.

And with the EU referendum coming up, they have been presented with a rare opportunity to make clear their views on the issue of our role in Europe.

    A future of well-deserved self-flagellation.

Never has a party so deserved to be set adrift in the political sea. Complete failure from start to finish.

The LibDems would enter into a coalition with any party,or so it appears. Then their position on anything is akin to a house built on sand.

They propped up,aided and abetted the Tories by marching through the corridors with them time after time.

Farron,a so called left of centre leader has stated the LibDems would go into coalition with the Tories again. As if once was not enough, what with the Tory decapitation strategy.Didn’t Billy Hague say something like he had killed off the LibDems after the coalition talks.

The LibDems are not only political whores but stupid, so it would seem.
