Government-Approved Pseudoscience In ME and the ‘Nudge Unit’ | Beastrabban\’s Weblog

In a nutshell, science has proven that ME is a real disease, and this tripe peddled in Oxford is purely politically motivated pseudoscience.

In other words, it’s just part of a general pseudoscientific model of illness that claims that somehow it’s all imaginary because this fits with Tory and Blairite attitudes to unemployment and those off sick through disability, in the same way that Stalinist policies corrupted science in the Soviet Union.

Anyone who looks ok on the outside is malingering according to this gov. I’d like to know what is going on with Osborne the pictures I’ve seen recently make him look like a maniac or not right in the head for some reason!!

Given so called ‘scientists’ can persuade the population that food will kill you, I’m hardly surprised that anyone with a GCSE in Home Economics can espouse such drivel. People are it seems not interested in educating themselves, they just want to hear the quick fix from non-peer reviewed idiots. Wake up Britain.

I thought that psychosocial tripe was originated by Unum.

Nah, biopsychosocial theory was adopted by Unum – perverted by Unum if you like.
It was theorised by a psychiatrist named George L Engel at the University of Rochester in the 1970s or thenabouts.

Policy based evidence making is a term commonly used for the kind of politically contrived crap this government is peddling.
In the absence of any action by our own supposed guardians of law and order, the UN investigation needs to get on and report to the International Criminal Court, because their delays are costing lives. Where are the police and CPS in this? Just following orders?
We NEED these Tories (and their enablers) to be arrested, indicted, and remanded until they can be properly tried, convicted and hanged (probably rather lenient, but I don’t think they allow feeding them into a meat grinder feet first and slowly, which is what they really deserve).
Maybe they should be starved to death – it’s no more than they impose on their victims, after all, and it would save some of the money which they claim we need to.
