UK flood defences cut – while millions spent on bombing Syria and Iraq | Pride’s Purge
Consider these three facts:
Cameron has consistently cut UK flood defences since he came to power:
England’s flood defence funding faces £600m shortfall
While at the same time spending hundreds of millions on bombing Syria and Iraq:
What’s the price to the UK of bombing Daesh in Syria? Clue – a lot
And now we have large parts of the country being hit by devastating floods:
Storm Desmond: major incident declared as police urge people to evacuate homes
No connection at all of course.

I can’t help feeling so sorry for those people whose homes have been flooded in Keswick, especially so close to Christmas, all because Cameron placed more importance on Britain “looking good” in the war arena, while giving the hand sign to people at home. I hope Cameron’s Christmas is ruined as much as theirs will be – but of course his won’t.
I do hope the Tory heartlands flood again, just to remind them who they voted for
we give billions out in foreign aid and the same for natural disasters, earthquakes, storm
damage, fioods in other countries, but when we have floods nobody sends us anything.perhaps this should be stopped and we could start looking after our own people.
maybe then we wouldn’have people starving/freezing to death or committing suicide
due to benefit cuts.
we do things arse up in this country, trying to look after everyone else but our own people.
It was established in 2013 (if I recall correctly) that there is a fund from the EU that Cameron could use – but he doesn’t like to do it because it would undermine a Tory argument that we pay too much in, and take too little out.
I’m surprised he even knows where Cumbria is!
typical tory hypocrisy.
