He won’t listen, of course.

Here’s the Facebook post by Wear Red – Stand up and Be counted, explaining it:

“You know we are loath to say it in case of jinxing it, but it is starting to possibly look like people are finally waking up to what the country is going to look like by 2020, after five years of Tory austerity, and they aren’t liking it.

“In the Autumn Statement, Osborne slipped in plans to privatise more of our national infrastructure including The Land Registry and perhaps more worryingly our Air Traffic Control System. Can you imagine the likes of Serco, Circle and others, with their reputation for ‘efficient’ operation of public service contracts (*cough* *cough*), controlling the skies?

“That aside, these assets belong to all of us – they have been and are paid for by our taxes – all their assets, buildings, etc etc down to the last paperclip are the property of the great British Public.

“They are not for the Tories to sell off cheaply to their chums in business so Osborne can pretend to balance the books or fund yet another tax giveaway to the very same people he sold the assets to.

“Privatization is and always has been a hug con which benefits the money men and rips the rest of us off.

“Looks like more and more of us are realizing it, too.”

The majority of these privatisations have ended up a second rate service, costing twice as much and ripping off joe public because without any audit or robust management overview they just do what they want with immunity. And you can stuff all their Key Performance Indicators down the toilet where they all belong. Not that any of these learnings will be heeded in the decision making because Ossi wants it and it will only be body bags and planes crashing that will grab some attention. DON’T DO IT.

I most certainly not like having our national assets sold off and consider it nothing short of theft; if it is saleable then it can be profitable as no billionaire will buy a dead loss.

its a Conservative Governments make up to privatise National Assets selling to their chums and paymasters. It makes sense to a Tory and guarantees a Golden Pension and Lifestyle.

Selling off our national assets, wasn’t aware we had any left, especially when Thatcher sold a load of them off back in the 80s!
