David Cameron makes a great case for abolishing bedroom tax

Last Updated: January 15, 2016By

Another Tory crackpot. This is the one responsible for implementing the Bedroom Tax that has caused so much misery on housing estates – after bursting into tears when he witnessed the misery on housing estates.

Tories aren’t good with evidence.

This Blog’s last two articles dealt with Louise Mensch’s unevidenced support for war against Iran and George Osborne’s unevidenced claim that benefit tourism to the UK exists and needs to be stopped (it doesn’t so it needn’t).

Now we have David Cameron telling us he wants to tackle poverty – in the face of a report released – by the Tories – showing that their Bedroom Tax is the cause.

Somewhere beyond fashionably late, the final government report into … the policy that has only ever really been known as the bedroom tax, was released on the last day of parliamentary business in 2015.

Individual cases of people whose families, communities and health continue to be compromised by the policy keep cropping up, with the case of a soldier away training to protect us all from harm not allowed a room in his family home, and of a footballer disabled by a serious fall not permitted to suffer the ignominy of being having to sleep separately from his wife in a hospital bed without someone from the DWP poking around.

The report proved beyond a shadow of a doubt what everyone, from David Orr to Sajid Javid has known all along: By the criteria against which the policy was drawn up, it is an unmitigated disaster.

Universal credit will be a disaster as well as the bedroom tax.
Realism seems an alien word to those who have originated such draconian policies.

Or he could just tackle poverty by lining us all up and shooting us its faster and much more cost effective

It’s also blatantly illegal – murder. Tories have been all about finding ways to cause death, without being directly connected to it, for the last few years.

Bedroom tax is a stupid idea, as is UC, will blow up in IDS’s face and he should be made to resign, both of these evil schemes should be scrapped now!
