The Right-Minded View On English Tests For Migrant Women

Lost in translation: David Cameron.

‘Right-minded’ Richard Hutton scores another hit with his satire on David Cameron’s call for migrant women to be tested on their English language skills – and to be deported if they fall short of the mark.

This is an eminently sensible scheme. I am surprised anybody could find a single fault. If anything, it doesn’t go far enough in its quest to teach foreign-sorts to speak British well, like what natives can.

You can’t be too careful with this sort of thing, either. One moment somebody is dropping the Oxford comma; the next, they mistake ‘Halal meat’ for a greeting popular among Geordies. Then where will it end? With small enclaves of people, living in communities where English isn’t spoken as a first language – if at all. Rumour has it that there are entire neighbourhoods in Wales and Scotland where this circumstance applies. Also, the city of Hull.

In fact, it really is quite brave of David Cameron to confront the issue of sexism among foreign men. It’s truly a day to behold when our Prime Minister bemoans patriarchy. Thankfully, we live in a country where no such circumstance has ever existed – because we simply have better manners in Britain. That’s why as many as 25% of MPs are female – striking a clear equilibrium; and setting the best of examples for citizens of all kinds to follow.

It works every time for slimy Cameroon, every time he needs to distract from an issue that will raise hackles on all sides of the House ( we nearly had him on the run with his laughable ‘EU Negotiations’ rightly despised by Lawson) when he tosses out the ignorant Muslim line, it works for him every time..
Do we know what is going on in Davos…No! Yet, once again, the EU is broke and our Vaunted Tory Economy is in shambles. So, what did Cameroon give you, a neat Red Herring on ignorant Women.

What a Hoot, it is beyond time that Labour ‘Profiled’ their enemies and, stopped being suckered away from issues which would DAMAGE CAMEROON…the liar.

    Some Psychological Warfare hints….the Tory Guy is almost as good as me; don’t switch off at 15.00 hours you need a 24 hour monitor of the Der Meedcha, have your counter media ready to slam dunk Cameroons goons slipping in late seeming controversial distractions;
    Devices of Propaganda

Name calling. To make the target audience reject and condemn the idea without examining the evidence i.e. to call someone a traitor.

Glittering Generality. Associating something with a ‘virtue word’ to make the target audience accept and approve the thing without examining the evidence i.e. to call someone freedom fighter or a saviour.

Transfer. To quote from some authority and prestige to prove one’s point of view i.e. misinterpretations from Holy Quran and weak Hadith which are not sound and pure.

Testimonial. Where a respected or a hated person is quoted to have said that a given idea or programme or person is good or bad.

Plain Folks. Where a speaker attempts to convince the audience that he and his ideas are good because they are of the people.

Card Stacking. It is the selection and use of facts or falsehood, illustrations or distractions, and logical or illogical statements in order to give the best or worst possible case for an idea, programme, person or product.
Band Wagon. Has a theme ‘Everybody — at least all of us — are doing it’. Therefore, we must follow the crowd and ‘jump on the band wagon’. (The fine art of Propaganda, 1939. Harcourt, Brace and Company, New York)

    Goebble’s Principles of Propaganda

Goebble’s was the head of the Propaganda Bureau of Hitler who incorporated various techniques effectively. According to him:-

    a. A propagandist must have access to intelligence concerning events and public opinion.
    b. Propaganda must be planned and executed by only one authority.
    c. Propaganda must effect the enemy’s policy and action.
    d. Factors that determine whether enemy propaganda should be ignored or refuted.
    e. Black (without an authentic source) rather than white propaganda must be employed when the latter is less credible or produces undesirable effects.
    f. Propaganda must be carefully timed.
    g. Counter Propaganda measures be also taken to encounter the enemy.
    h. Propaganda to the home front must diminish the impact of frustration.
    i. Propaganda must facilitate the displacement of aggression (in suspicion, distrust and hatred)

    Get clever or get out.

When I first came down south I spoke broad geordie and the other kids used to use a Northumbrian lass to translate what I was saying. Many people down here (I had never seen a black person or Asian before I was seven years old) did not speak English at all, but we still managed to communicate. Now I bump into Slavs who cannot speak English and that’s OK too, because they will learn, eventually. So is Cameron proposing that all the Poles and Slavs in this country who cannot speak or write English – any English, be deported, half the low paid workers in canning and pre-packing, Ikea distribution depots, small businesses with manual labour, the list is endless, will all be rather short staffed. Cameron created the low paid workforce we have now and the cheap labour that deprives Job Seekers of work(well actually Labour started it, but Cameron has taken it to a new level) so how is he going to remedy the situation if all our migrant workers propping up the workforce are deported? Heaven forbid, he should ever realise the solution is to bring in a liveable minimum wage and invest in people rather than his sycophantic elitist middle class voting class. They certainly won’t do the work!
