Coloured wristbands. Red doors. Even photo-ID… The Welsh Refugee Council was quite right to say some of these are echoes of Nazi Germany.

This Writer thinks they all are.

They mark people out for hatred and abuse. BBC News had a report at lunchtime today (January 25) in which asylum-seekers said they had been targeted with arson attacks.

It is not good enough – and it comes as no surprise that the identifying marks that set these human beings (let’s not forget) apart from the rest of us have been devised by private contractors for the Conservative Government.

Tory divide-and-conquer tactics are succeeding again, it seems.

A government contractor reportedly forcing asylum seekers to wear brightly coloured wristbands in exchange for food is set to replace the controversial policy with a photographic identification system, an MP has said.

Refugees housed by Clearsprings Ready Homes – a private firm contracted by the government to care for those seeking asylum – were allegedly told they would not be fed if they did not wear the brightly coloured wristbands at all times. The Welsh Refugee Council (WRC) said the wristbands echoed the yellow star that Jewish people were forced to wear in Nazi Germany.

Speaking on Sky News Jo Stevens, the shadow justice minister and Labour MP for Cardiff Central, said she had contacted the company and expressed her “grave concerns”. She added the company “accepted that there were concerns the wristbands, they’ve taken that onboard and they’ve told me that they will be withdrawing them and replacing them with a photo ID card system, which people don’t have to show when they’re outside of the hostel”.

Many of these refugees will one day be able to return home, just as soon as “civilised” countries stop trying to overthrow legitimate governments. In the meantime they are our guests, they are not sub humans, they are not a breed apart nor are they some kind of infestation. They should be treated with the same dignity a respectable and civilised country would undoubtedly offer.
So the question remains, do we qualify as a “civilised” country, or are we becoming an apartheid state or Hitler’s Third Reich and nazi phenomena?

“Reich Leader CaMoron and Idiot Duncan-Smith are entrusted with the responsibility of extending the authority of physicians, designated by name, so that patients who, on the basis of human judgment [menschlichem Ermessen], are considered incurable, can be granted mercy death [Gnadentod] after a definitive diagnosis. — Adolf Hitler”

The wording signed by Hitler to authorise mercy killing. Doesn’t it sound like a press statement form Tory Central Office?

Wasn’t it Duncan-Smith who admired the chilling words above the entrance to Auschwitz Concentration Camp. What else did he admire about that evil place, I wonder?
