Cameron wants to lock ‘radicals’ in a single place – like a Nazi concentration camp?

Last Updated: February 17, 2016By

So David Cameron wants to imprison a large number of convicted “extremists” in a relatively small area.

Isn’t that the very definition of a concentration camp?

What next – will the Conservative Parasites start ordering people they consider a ‘political danger’ to be locked up there in ‘protective detention’?

Will opponents of the Conservatives be taken there as a warning to those who do not support the Tory regime?

Will their trials take place at the ‘secret’ courts that were established during the Coalition government – or will justice be ignored?

That’s what the Nazis did.

The Tories are certainly following another Nazi policy – eroding our freedoms little by little.

Why not this?

Convicted extremists in the UK could soon be isolated and placed in a single secure unit, in a bid to stop Islamist radicalisation in prison. The full extent of the proposal will figure in an upcoming review by Justice Secretary Michael Gove. However the prospect of a ‘British Guantanamo‘ has already sparked alarm among prison chiefs.

This new proposal is due to be published in March. According to experts, it will set the stage for a radical change in the way the state treats people convicted of extremism. Instead of dispersing them across six maximum security prisons, they could all end up in the same place. Supposedly, this will ‘minimise’ the risk of radicalisation for other prisoners.

Were we to think of Islamist extremism as an infectious disease, the proposal could make sense. Like lepers, convicted terrorists would be completely cut off from the world. Thus they would be unable to spread the ‘infection’ that is Jihadist propaganda.

The problem is, extremism is not an infectious disease, not in that sense. As such, there are several reasons why it is dangerous and wrong-headed to treat it as such.

stupid ideology does tend to be infectious ! Constructs like that spread through a combination of the quick manipulation the ideas can have on weak minds. This of course needs a masterful manipulator, probably narcissistic. Prison is a place where men are exposed, trapped over long periods and vulnerable to skillful manipulation.

I think we can second guess how things would develop. Whatever the initial definition of ‘radical’ it would soon be extended to anyone who opposes The Great Leader in any capacity!

    • chris February 17, 2016 at 3:20 pm - Reply

      its unlikely to be extended

Brilliant, we are getting our own Guantanamo bay but without the sun. I don’t know which is more sinister and evil. The Muslim fanatics or the Conazi fanatics. I’ve decided, the Conazis.

Sorry I meant to put Conazitives

You may recall Cameron’s remark that being a law abiding citizen was not enough…. Bottom kissing anyone?

Pastor Niemoller’s words come to mind: (apologies, slightly adapted)
‘They came for the trade unionist and I did not speak out
So they came for the critics and I did not speak out.
Then they came for me and there was no-one left to speak out for me’.

He actually visited our school in the early 60’s.

Who would ever have guessed that the words would apply to Britain in the next 60 years??

we cant really prove if that will happen tho I dont think they will be sending anyone to of “political danger” there let alone “opponents of the Conservatives” anytime soon

No, you can’t prove these things until it’s too late.
Remember, we didn’t know anything about the Nazi concentration camps until Allied forces actually found one, during World War Two.

The British Guantanamo…. and no doubt they will either be in orange suits or even perhaps black and White striped suits?

    Slightly off the subject….

I noticed a Group of Community Service Workers last year in Bath all lined up cleaning and painting a metal fence last year.

The only reason I noticed them was because they were all dressed in Flurescent Orange Jump Suits!!

I was outraged and went up to them all and offered them my support and thoughts on the matter.

Has anyone else noticed their towns and cities using this dehumanising and disgraceful practice?

This article sounded very familiar almost prescient given the way Tories and right wingers think and operate:

What an offensive idea that convicted terrorists in the UK in 2016 are somehow comparable to the innocents detained in Nazi concentration camps. This really is one of your more outlandish posts. And you’ve set the bar pretty high.

Who does David Cameron consider to be a terrorist? He didn’t even use that word. He used “radical” instead.
Look up a definition of radical, as Malcolm MacIntyre-Read did, and you’ll see: “A person who advocates thorough or complete political or social reform; a member of a political party or part of a party pursuing such aims.”
He thought that was a good description of a Tory; I think the Tories would use it against anybody who opposes them in a way that is strong enough to threaten their supremacy.

The Nazis party still exists, just change its name to Conservative and Unionist Party

And let us not forget that ’twas us Brits who introduced Concentration Camps in 1900 to control pesky Boers in the Boer War.

As to “radicals”, one definition states… “a person who advocates thorough or complete political or social reform; a member of a political party or part of a party pursuing such aims.” I would suggest that that is a very clear identification of the Cons in view of their acts, in the Coalition, but especially, and much speeded up since 7 May 2015.

So who should be the first inmates?

And now you call him a nazi because he wants to imprison radicals?? It’s the holocaust of the poor, sick and disabled we should be more concerned about, we can’t let terrorists run around free to be threats to society, what else should we do with them?

    • Mike Sivier February 19, 2016 at 12:38 am - Reply

The issue isn’t locking up terrorists; it’s who David Cameron decides to call terrorists.
