How appropriate that Disabled People Against Cuts has released a new film on YouTube, raising awareness of the thousands of avoidable deaths that have happened as a result of Conservative-led ‘welfare reform’.

The Tories are about to enter another round of infighting over a plan to reinstate a £30-per-week cut to Employment Support Allowance, after it was blocked by the House of Lords.

Backbenchers say it will further impoverish thousands of people with illnesses as serious as cancer, even though people like George Osborne, David Cameron and Iain Duncan Smith say it is aimed at those who are capable of work-related activity.

In fact, it is likely to push thousands more people to suicide. The film explains why.
