Want to know why these posters have started appearing? #TheyDontMakeUsSafer

Last Updated: March 8, 2016By

If you live in London, you may have started seeing posters like this one:
160308theydontmakeussafer
They relate to nasty little event called Security and Policing 2016.

Activists responsible for the posters want it shut down, and explain why on their Facebook page:

“Behind closed doors, the Home Office is hosting a three day shopping spree. Governments, police forces and military delegations from around the world can buy all the necessary equipment to support violent militarised policing, aggressive border controls and oppressive surveillance operations.

“Organised far from London, it provides a “discreet environment” for hundreds of companies who want to “display products which would be too sensitive to show in a more open environment”. Companies such as Serco who make a fat profit from the inhumane detention of thousands of refugees in centres like Yarls Wood; or weapons companies like BAE systems whose business is dependent on human suffering and continuous wars.

“The heavy policing of borders, militarisation of police, increased surveillance of civilians and high military spending do not improve security and they do not make any of us safer. They make the world a more dangerous place and we need to resist all of it.”

Organisers Stop the Arms Fair, Network for Police Monitoring, Lesbians and Gays Support the Migrants and Campaign Against Arms Trade have arranged a mass demonstration outside the Home Office to demand an end to the secretive event happening this month in Farnborough.

“There’s no money in the pot for welfare. There’s only so much to go round.” How many times have you heard sheep saying this. There is another pot of course its the bottomless weapons and war pot.

Lily Cole gives you the CLUE:

“We have trillions of dollars of underutilized resources that need to be unlocked. The challenge of our generation is to get more out of every tomato, drill, mile of road, and hour of boredom.”

Cole says these shouldn’t be unlocked by “rental platforms” which (boo) take money, but by the authentic pioneers of the “real sharing economy” such as… herself.

And what might the “real” one look like? Helpfully, she provides a definition.

“It includes libraries and buses, roads and parks, power systems and water supplies, courts and rummage sales, charity shops and bulletin boards, community gardens and universities.”

Wait…. Buses? Have thousands of Route-masters been lying idle in private garages up and down the land, their bus enthusiast owners unable to put them to use? That must be what she means. And universities? All voluntary, apparently.

Cole also treats us to an extra lesson in economics. Impossible.com is saving civilisation, if not the planet itself. Literally.

The best people to tell you about Social Services Exploitation is the Person who has exploited us and, now sees that She has signposted the Route for the Corporate Pigs and their political succubus.

“Californian tycoons stole my sharing economy”, says Lily Cole:

Yer! Lily Dear, we know how you feel, the swine steal anything that we cannot Nail down, it was hard nailing down my poor Old Gran’s outgoings, She was paying Claridge’s prices at an Private Dossers, so-called, old people’s Home.

Learn from Lily…just don’t send Her any money.

    Farnborough isn’t “far from London.”

Gets lots of Visits from MPs, does it? I was a guest of Boeing at the Air show, still could not tell you where exactly it is; does it only appear on Air Show alternate Years?

The European courts need to test this law against the human rights of the people being abused by this dictatorship Government…I only hope they can declare this disgusting money saving law as a breach

Surveillance is alright(especially after the Paris terror attacks). Good, honest surveillance protects everyone. But, the surveillance we have in Britain targets only blacks & Asians(British citizens), which is neither good nor honest!!

Ah, so it’s only racist surveillance that’s bad. Right. I see.
      Hmm…

yes its overdue the UK being acknowledged as a dictatorial government. Many dont admit this has arrived due to the party electoral system and resultant corruption pervading the parliamentary policy making procedures.

    Thanks for this Mike,
people need to understand just what is going on in this so called Democratic Country of ours; if you question anything to closely or take an interest in a Fraud trial involving Government contracts , you can expect the police to apply to the Judge involved for permisson to monitor your phone calls without your knowledge and this will be granted as its just a formality, the only way i found out was that prior to the last Election my friend who is on good terms with the then Justice Secretary Lord Carlisle, wrote to him asking him to put in a request to find out if either my phone or his had been tapped and sure enough mine had, just for daring to take a publicly minded interest in Misuse of Taxpayers money.
Welcome to Britain 2016. David Penson Bracknell
