‘Panama Papers’ leak about global tax haven firm implicates Cameron’s father

Is this why David Cameron ranted at reporters in a press conference – he was angry at the revelation of his families tax avoidance secrets?

This Writer had believe the Cameron family’s tax avoidance was well known prior to the ‘Panama Papers’ leak.

Perhaps there is more to be revealed.

A sensational leak of 11 million confidential documents last night showed how the world’s richest people protect their wealth.

The records, said to be from secretive Panama law firm Mossack Fonseca, apparently show world leaders, sports stars and celebrities use offshore companies.

Among those mentioned in the “Panama Papers” were David Cameron ’s late father Ian and several Tory peers and former MPs.

Mr Cameron’s father, who died in 2010, is reported to have used Mossack Fonseca to shield his investment fund, Blairmore Holdings Inc, from UK taxes.

Papers say his fund was “managed and conducted so it does not become resident in the United Kingdom for UK taxation purposes”.

While tax evasion is illegal in the UK, tax avoidance or minimisation is usually legal.

Vladimir Putin is also linked. Although the Russian President is not named, files reveal money from Russian bank Rossiya – already on the EU sanctions list – was channelled through offshore firms owned by associates allegedly including concert cellist Sergei Roldugin.

interesting to note that cameron has vested interests in not addressing tax dodging. how could Osborne do anything resembling success in this area when his master had vested interests, and cronies had these funds invested in tax havens????

Never fear, Cameron junior is on the case: expect spectacular results.

Sure, Cameron has more to hide that will be embarrassingly revealed, lets see him wriggle out of this one. But more, it follows that given the number of lists, and this will not be the last one, others will also be implicated, including the banking fox, Mr Osborn, no doubt running around like a headless chicken trying to liquidate his holdings in his family wallpaper business, whose turnover to profit ratio’s just don’t add up.

There will be many Tory MP’s who are clamoring to have the BBC gagged, and the BBC know it, why else would they be continuously reporting through third parties other than not to offend their puppet masters with the unpalatable truth.

Putin “probably” did it even if this prat Luke Harding has only the most tenuous of links and lo and behold other Russophobes jump on the bandwagon. Needless to say the Graund has done it’s usual ” Playground level ignorance and prejudicial diversion masquerading as adult communication” bit and everyone joins in.
The self serving Cameron’s and other politicians/government officials of this world have been doing it for a very long time and nobody and I mean nobody, has thought “We must stop them from stealing our hard earned cash and hiding it away so we can’t even tax the money they cheated us out of.”
Serves us bloody well right for letting scum like Cameron and Blair and so many like them do it to us in the first place. Nothing will change, the thieving politicians will continue on just as before and what’s really stupid is we will have voted the next lot of trash in whether they are Tory or NEW Labour.
If someone were to start a petition to the government’s site demanding an end to off shore tax dodging I’d probably be the only one to take it seriously and actually sign it. Why bother when the Mainstream Media and even some blog sites will assign blame where none can be remotely served?

Just one note: If you’re typing NEW Labour to differentiate between the current party under Jeremy Corbyn and New Labour, I think you’re making a mistake. People will think you’re referring to Blairite New Labour and take it as a sign that the right-wingers have retaken control. That’s bad for the UK. Just type Labour.

In case you haven’t noticed Jeremy is having to compromise on so many levels to appease the Right wingers and Blairites because they will keep slagging him off to the detriment of the Labour Party. Ergo, whilst Jeremy is still centrist he is leading a party with far too many NEW Labour politicians still calling the shots. They won’t stop, even if it provides the opposition with further ammo. They are not just divisive they will cost us the next election, because they don’t want the membership calling the shots anymore than did Blair. Until they are gotten rid of, by deselection or whatever means, they are too often the people that the Graund will give space to while they sling mud at JC. Can you guarantee me that they will not eventually succeed when they don’t need him any more? Then what, we’ve voted Labour in on the strengths of JC and the Labour Right of NEW Labour/Blair vote one of their own into power. No thanks, their sort are about as far removed from what I would want to see in power in this country as their counterparts in the Tory Party, they are just as self serving and still in the Labour Party.
