Osborne and Cameron: They are all in it together.

And, as one Twitter commentator put it, that’s “it” with two letters missing at the start of the word: “s” and “h”.

Chancellor George Osborne has evaded answering a series of questions with ITV News, on whether he has personally benefited from offshore funds.

During his visit to visit to the Ocado Customer Fulfilment Centre in Hatfield, when Mr Osborne was asked: “Do you now or will you in the future benefit from any offshore funds?”, he responded by saying the current Government has done more than “any other previous British Government” to ensure “people pay the taxes that are owed”.

He was then asked a second time “are you going to benefit at all?” and again avoided answering the question directly.

The chancellor said: “As I say, all of our interests, as ministers and MPs, are declared in the register in member’s interests and we have made our position very clear.”

as i have said mike if they have benefited the tax man will know by looking at their bank accounts

if any credits have been made from offshore or indeed overseas the inland revenue will be able to find out

also their bank will be able at any point to see if a banking breach has been made or the bank of england as the UK regulator could ask their bank if anything has untoward gone on

you can be certain that with today’s technology the government and all of their departments know everything about everyone irrespective of what some may say

I’ve just got this intuitive feeling that he’s innit. But that’s not evidence. But it’ll all come out in the wash. I’ve just got this other intuitive feeling that it’ll be sooner rather than later. As my old granny used to say.

‘Do you now or will you in the future benefit from any offshore funds?”, That question did not include ‘ have you ever’ (i.e. in the past). So it is limited to the present and future, something I would of thought he’d not be stupid enough to have put himself in the position of being unable to answer. So, perhaps, arrogance can be added to stupidity. Hubris usually gets them, despite all the warnings they’re meant to have learnt from their study of classical writers.
I guess the only bit they imbibe is the so called ‘Melian dialogue’

The very same language obfuscation used to implement the draconian Tory manifesto is coming back and haunt them. Trouble is, many will not be satisfied with the dribble and demand the truth, an alien concept Tories have no command of. They really should throw the spade away now.
