Cameron’s so-called extremist Imam campaigned for TORIES at last election

Last Updated: April 21, 2016By

The media – both mass and social – are all over the Zac Goldsmith-David Cameron-Suliman Gani-Sadiq Khan story at the moment, so there seems little This Writer can add to it for the time being.

About the worst thing that can be said about Mr Goldsmith is that he has turned out to be a disappointment.

I don’t hate him – he hasn’t done enough to warrant that. But from a promising start, he has let himself down every step of the way.

His campaign has been riddled with racist invective against Sadiq Khan that should be, quite frankly, beneath the dignity of any politician.

Now David Cameron has become involved, tarring Mr Goldsmith by association with a tarnished prime minister who is long past his own sell-off date.

Cameron’s intervention in Parliament has made matters so much worse for his party’s lacklustre London Mayoral candidate that one has to wonder whether either of them want to win.

At prime minister’s questions today, David Cameron accused Labour’s candidate for Mayor of London Sadiq Khan of appearing with a London Imam who supports ISIS.

Only one problem. The Imam in question – Suliman Gani– does not support ISIS.

In fact he thinks they’re “evil”.

And even more amazingly, Gani actually supported – and even canvassed for – the Tories at the last general election.

Here he is with Zac Goldsmith himself:

The Tories are so desperate – or arrogant – they think they can win elections with outright lies and smears.

mayors were intended to be withdrawing control of the state
Localised councils were intended to have control of services coordinated by the salaried mayor.
    think
what role has your mayor performed ?

The trouble is Mike, their nasty “divide and rule” tactics have served them well recently, mixed of course with some blatant cheating, that they believe they will again succeed. We must fervently hope that this time they don’t.
