David Cameron has insisted the Conservative Party will reunite after the EU referendum, despite the divisions exposed by the Brexit campaign.

“We’ll accept the judgement of the British people,” he said.

“There’s huge challenges to overcome and I think you’ll be surprised how politicians can have an argument, have that decided and then get on with the other things about which they by and large agree.”

This article from the New Statesman puts it very well, I think. If the vote is for #Brexit, the Tories will rally and Labour will be torn apart. The best we can hope for now is a very narrow Remain victory, although this is seeming less and less likely. http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/uk/2016/06/eu-referendum-was-meant-be-tory-nightmare-it-has-become-one-labour

no they wont come back so easily, for one reason, there has been so many lies and untruths and with the likes of pretti patel saying that brexit would erode worker’s rights which is and always has been a hidden tory agenda since thatcher and no doubnt behind the smirking mask of the conservative party let’s think about fist pumping ids and his cronies in the leave campaign and there compaasion towards vunerable adults and there proven track record of helping them.

I hope that this party splits whichever way this vote goes and start the demise of them and perhaps then we may have to look at how our political structures are carried out and start by appointing people with knowledge and experience for roles and departments and not the mish mash hash that has probably been recruited from the nobody wants them list that big companies with sense have and would never employ in a month on mondays

ask yourself one question look at all the roles each of there top mp’s do then look at bigh companies that specialise in these roles and say to yourselves would these companies employ these people in responsible positions and how long would they last, you dont need to do the maths on this one!

I don’t know if they’ll reunite, but I hope they don’t. I hope they shatter whatever happens.

Of course they will reunite. It is the self preservation instinct. People often say unpleasant things in campaigns and the details are soon forgotten. Cameron and Clegg said terrible things about each other during the GE and then worked well with each other in a coalition. Abuse across campaign lines are similar to canon fire in wars, but warring countries soon become friends again. It is certainly true that a week is a long time in politics.

Knowing them, they’ll reunite, we’ll let them back in, even though they shouldn’t, but they’ll be severely crippled by this civil war, that’s the time for Corbyn, other parties and the British public to strike, finish them off once and for all!

Of course they will re-unite-more than anything they want power!

Yes cos the entire argument on both sides has been ‘staged’ to fool the people!….i firmly believe BOTH sides want BREXIT so they can have more power over the people when TTIP comes into force!…Camerons supported it from the start and will run amok outwith EU!

I really don’t think the facts support your opinion, unless you’re discussing only the right-wing referendum campaigns. Of course, there’s a lot more to the referendum than the right-wingers like Cameron and Gove, Boris Johnson, Osborne and Farage.

There has been talk in the last few days of a letter doing the rounds that Gove, Boris and other key referendum Tories will sign. It says that they all want Cameron to remain irrespective of the referendum result. The intention is to stop a leadership challenge. It was also discussed today on Daily Politics.
