The code says ministers are expected to be truthful.

I know – it can’t have been put into practice because, if it had, she wouldn’t still be a minister in the DWP.

I like the response from a Turkish person on Twitter, who said people from that country would not be flooding the UK just because we make Cadbury’s chocolate and Maltesers.

Leading pro-Brexiteer Priti Patel has been accused of breaking the ministerial code by making “misleading and inaccurate” claims about Turkish membership of the European Union.

Anger centres on her warning that Turkish membership of the EU was being “accelerated with David Cameron’s support”.

Ms Patel also backed a report by the think-tank Migration Watch which forecast 100,000 Turks would head to Britain every year if the country was admitted to the bloc.

    Hahahahaha!
Ministers be truthful! They are professional liars, lie is what they do!

This referendum is simply the politicians way of washing their hands of ‘guilt’; they can simply say “It was the people’s choice”!

Stay or leave – stand or fall, it is no longer ‘their’ fault, it will be ours again!

I think you give Migration Watch too much credit by referring to them as a think tank. More like a s**t-stirring tank, I’d lump them in the same bracket as the Taxpayers Alliance and the Countryside Alliance, as unofficial branches of the Conservative Party.

You’re welcome to tell the ‘i’ online your opinion – it’s that organisation’s article I was quoting.
