Considering the result of the Rotherham inquiry, are we to conclude that all child sex abuse in England and Wales will be blamed on the Labour Party?

That was UKIP’s response – as borne out by multiple comments on This Blog since that time.

Admittedly, they were from people who had taken a simplistic attitude.

Perhaps we can all agree to take a more objective, holistic view this time – if the current inquiry every actually reaches the report stage.

Professor Alexis Jay, who led the Rotherham abuse inquiry, is to be the new chairwoman of the inquiry into child sex abuse in England and Wales.

The appointment was announced by the home secretary after the resignation of judge Dame Lowell Goddard last week.

Prof Jay was already among the panel of advisers taking part in the independent investigation into claims made against public and private institutions.

She becomes the fourth head after the three previous chairwomen stood down.

Rotherham was a Labour dominated cover up. This enquiry is across the party divide and not about the possibility of upsetting one parties voters as Rotherham was.

If it was a cover-up, you still wouldn’t know anything about it.
Rotherham was a serious failure – not an intentional subterfuge.
But I thank you for supporting my point about Labour being blamed.

It’s always ‘northern England’, but we certainly know that there are Home Counties where equally bad has been perpetrated…why the focus only on certain areas…it’s a heinous CRIME in ALL areas of the whole of the ‘UK’. The fact that Justice Lowell Goddard, and ditto Inquiry Chair up here in Scotland have ‘gone’ says an awful lot to me…there’s dirty cover-ups going on everywhere….Justice? …pahhh!!!!!
