Momentum really seems to have shot itself in the foot by sacking Jackie Walker as vice-chair over her leaked remarks about anti-Semitism, Holocaust Memorial Day and security in schools.

Below is a comment from Greater Manchester Momentum BAME (Black and Minority Ethnic) organisation, whose members clearly want to know why Momentum’s steering group has apparently given in to “trial by media”.

They claim the political right-wing has weaponised accusations of discrimination (in this case, falsely accusing a Jewish woman of anti-Semitism), manipulating minority groups into animosity against each other.

And they say Momentum, which should have been standing up against this behaviour, instead stood by – and yes, I am using the recent Labour Party tagline deliberately.

Here‘s the message:

This Writer is very much looking forward to the longer statement from the BAME caucus.
