Boris Johnson won’t attend EU foreign ministers’ meeting on Donald Trump – for fear of comparison?

Separated at birth or cloned? Donald Trump and Boris Johnson [Composite: Laura Tisdale/Twitter].

Boris Johnson can make any excuse he wants – This Writer thinks he’s frightened of attending any meeting on Donald Trump in case he gets mistaken for the man himself.

Private Eye has pointed out there are many similarities between them, including:

  • Stupid hair
  • Spouts nonsense
  • Known philanderer
  • Inexplicable popularity

Put that way, even I’m ready to be convinced by the conspiracy theorists that Mr Johnson is Mr Trump’s clone.

On that evidence, perhaps Mr Johnson is right to shun the EU ministers’ meeting.

If they’re as concerned about Mr Trump as we’re being led to believe, they might string him up and then call it mistaken identity.

Boris Johnson has snubbed an emergency EU foreign ministers’ meeting called to discuss Donald Trump’s shock US election victory.

A Foreign Office spokesman said that an “act of democracy” had taken place in the US and that there was no need for EU ministers to organise an extra meeting on top of the one already scheduled next week.

It comes after Foreign Secretary Mr Johnson branded vocal European concern about the US election result as a “whinge-o-rama”, while Ms May was criticised by Labour for failing to “temper” her congratulations to the President-elect.

I’m not sure that the “inexplicable popularity” is still valid, but otherwise I agree wholeheartedly.

So what does this blonde idiot, Johnson, propose to do. Let Trump control him?
Surely a meeting to discuss our reaction to Trump idiocy is essential in these dangerous times.

Lets face it, the only reason Trump got in is because of the same ‘protest’ vote at the established farce of democracy currently practiced by ‘civilized’ nations. The only question is, is he the lesser of two evils.
