If this is accurate, people have very short memories. Or are stupid. Or both.

The Liberal Democrats could beat Labour at the next general election because of their pledge to hold a second EU referendum, a new poll suggests.

A survey by YouGov found that the Liberals would surge to second place on the back of disaffected Remain voters if they were the only party offering  second referendum.

The survey found that if all the parties except the Lib Dems said they would press ahead with Brexit, the Lib Dems would gain 22 per cent of the vote, while Labour would score just 19 per cent.

This would be the same party that welched on student loans, and the same party that failed to make eny real effort to get PR?

I appreciate your comments about Lib Dems as they have certainly let us down in the past by siding with the Conservatives. In view of the current state of the Labour party with all its infighting and the lack of direction, with regard to ridding itself of its Right-Wing MPs, I think it would be a good idea if Labour and the Lib Dems at least put their joint thinking caps on to see what they might do for the benefit of all of this country together which would certainly rid us of this terrible Tory government. It might not be a perfect solution but it would more likely be a far less imperfect solution to take the chance of allowing the Conservatives to finally destroy democracy in this country.

“Meanwhile Ipsos MORI released their monthly political monitor. In terms of voting intention the Conservative lead is halved from last month, but that is likely something of a reversion to the mean after a towering eighteen point lead last month. Topline figures are CON 42%, LAB 33%, LDEM 10%, UKIP 7%, GRN 3%. As ever, wait until you see the change echoed in other polls before concluding that the Conservative lead is waning.”

Wow! Labour is only ten points behind the Conservatives! Everything to play for!

So the tories will back the Libs because they know they have lost it and it will be better to give it to a minor tory party so they can still keep on cheating and robing

The liberals sure could and rightly so. those that voted for brexit are the same people that voted for Donald trump, and this popular movement no doubt will run rife across the EU next year

when you have millions of misguided people who are trying to make out that a far right political party are the answer to their personal problem’s of being left behind in life is ludicrous

no far right worldwide political party in history has ever delivered anything for it’s average citizen and by being a bigoted person voting these people in will never solve your problem’s, only will make them much worse

one can understand the frustration’s of being left behind by centre political parties of the past but the reality is they are just very bad mp’s that you voted in to act on your behalf in the first place

the blaming of migrants for your own downfall is bizarre’ and that argument has no place in a decent civilised society

The best course of action at the next general election would be to keep a open mind as brexit wont have kicked in and you will then realize that you were misled at the referendum as brexit means nothing for the vast majority of people

all main UK business already have a world market and any slack is supplied by the Chinese if there pollution levels are at a reasonable level

All brexit has done is to devalue the pound of which will never recover and to make import’s more expensive and in a nutshell that my friend’s is brexit

gaining so called control of our boarders ,you will never know by a deceptive government and the gaining of Sovereignty has no bearing in your lives

I think once the people of brexit realize they were duped in the referendum they will then wake up’ but as for voting for labour and corbyn on the left I cant see it because the left aren’t racist and at the end of the day the majority of the UK voter is hence the large brexit vote

A referendum is not supposed to be a “best of three” darts match. Either we have democratic vote or we have what the Liberals are advocating – keep having a referendum until we get the voting result we want. I am a remain voter, but more than that, I believe in the democratic process – something the liberals and a number of remainers do not. They can’t bleat about democracy(with the use of another referendum)if they dismiss democracy because the vote didn’t go their way. It’s hypocrisy by both them and the Liberals.

Well, the solution is pretty simple, isn’t it? Offer a 2nd referendum BASED on the terms offered or “negotiated” by Theresa and the idiot trio…

You Gov wouldn’t say that Labour was ahead in the polls even if they won the election.
