Boris Johnson’s incompetence as London Mayor is finally revealed – long AFTER his departure

The facts about the uselessness of the water cannons he bought have been known for many months – the amount of money he wasted has not been revealed until now.
Do you still think the Conservatives are the party of financial responsibility?
As for Mr Johnson himself – he is an inept oaf whose time is spent either with his foot in his mouth or busily spending other people’s money.
Can anybody explain his popularity?
And, most importantly of all:

A few years ago, Boris Johnson’s administration at London City Hall spent hundreds of thousands of taxpayers’ money buying water cannons.
The water cannons were apparently for protesting crowds, and turned out to be useless and a complete waste of money.
But apparently it was worse than that. Today, Sadiq Khan’s office reveals the full cost to Londoners of maintaining three unused water cannon:
- Low Emission Zone compliance – £32,004
- Re-painting – £19,035
- Fitting CCTV – £19,376.70
- Body work repairs due to corrosion – £4,911.15
- Supply and fit of 999 sirens – £3,109.20
- Signage – £3,511.50
- Installation of a Radio / CD player – £970.50
Yes, nearly a grand was spent just installing a radio / CD player to a bunch of water cannons. It beggars belief.
And that’s not even the worst of it.
Khan’s office reveal that more than £322,834 was spent on purchasing, fitting out and repairing the three machines.
This is all despite the fact they cannot legally be used in the UK and have ‘languished in storage’ for the past two years.

One has to ask who actually negotiated the costs for all these areas as clearly it would not be a job for the Mayor himself as Khan will be all to well aware.
The decision to buy the water cannons was Mr Johnson’s, though. All the costs arose from that.
Two things:
1. They use water cannon here in Northern Ireland. I guess we’re special.
2. Teresa May, making her pitch for Tory leadership: ‘The last time Boris went to Germany he came back with three nearly-new water cannon’. Two weeks later he’s foreign secretary. You couldn’t make it up.

Johnson is interested in only one thing – himself. He has an over-inflated ego and an over-inflated sense of entitlement, both of which far outweigh his capabilities. I wonder what other scandals from his time as London Mayor are waiting to emerge from the woodwork, but will his chums in the right wing media publish these stories?
Did someone actually pay for a private education for this creature. He learned how to be cunning and deceitful and how to get publicity but appears to have learned litle about humane or honest behaviour. Is this the standard for our expensive public schools? Given the example displayed by our government I think that question answers itself.
He was in the Bullingdon Club at Oxford. Along with Cameron and Osborne. Trashing restaurants and burning £50 notes in front of homeless people was a foretaste of government policy – privileged, psychopathic white men on the rampage.
Of course they need CD players, how are the crew going to play Ride of the Valkyries really loudly whilst hosing people down with purple water if they don’t have a CD player?
