Even the Queen is frustrated she can’t get an update on Brexit… because no such plan exists | Political Scrapbook

Last Updated: December 24, 2016By

The Queen.

The Queen asked for an update on what is happening with Brexit but was “left disappointed” because she didn’t get anything from Theresa May.

The Times this morning reports that Theresa May essentially repeated her slogan – ‘Brexit means Brexit’.

The Queen and the duke were said to have been looking forward to hearing more about Mrs May’s thoughts on Brexit. This may have included insights into her selections for the cabinet, including the appointment of Boris Johnson as foreign secretary.

However, both were said to have been left disappointed.

What’s extraordinary here is that the Queen felt so annoyed by the whole encounter that she chose to leak it to the press.

That tells you everything about the dismal state of affairs.

Theresa May cannot tell the Queen anything because there is no plan.

The Tories cannot offer a “running commentary” on Brexit because doing so would expose the whole charade as empty

One would have thought that, by now, there would be some semblance of a plan; 6 months have passed since the referendum. However, why is nobody calling on Call-Me-Dave to explain himself before Parliament? HE should have had a plan in place, BEFORE he offered us the referendum; at least then, when he bolted, there would have been something on which Teresa Maybe could build. 6 months with no plan, though? That’s shameful. Ach, shame! An antiquated concept.
I still think that Call-Me-Dave needs to explain himself; he has done his country an immense disservice and is not being held accountable. He is an utter disgrace!

We have a rule here – no swearing.
You can get away with the odd bit of slang but major profanities are out of the question. I want this page to be available to everyone, including those who would be put off by such language.

I agree with Zippi. Cameron should be made to explain himself and his reckless, irresponsible actions.
