Paul Nuttall has been reduced to being the Stoke by-election campaign’s comic relief

He’s the new leader of UKIP, but the people of Stoke aren’t interested in Paul Nuttall.

Instead, they’ve turned him into the butt of a joke, putting up a mock ‘English Heritage’ plaque pointing out that Mr Nuttall, who is from Bootle, has never lived in Stoke and parachuted himself in to become UKIP’s candidate in the upcoming Stoke-on-Trent Central by-election, ahead of locally-based candidates from his party.

With his salary as an MEP drying up when the UK leaves the EU in the next couple of years, many have seen the move as an attempt to get onto the UK Parliament gravy train, rather than as a serious bid to represent the will of the people.

I sincerely hope the people of Stoke humiliate him and everything he stands for.

The Courts take a dim view of the likes of Mr Nuttall who place false addresses on their nomination papers.

Well I’m sure that having had Tristram Hunt, labour, Born in Cambridge and went to Cambridge University, the people of Stoke are well used to having candidates parachuted in to their constituency.

They hate it. That’s why Hunt had the lowest majority in Parliament, in a staunchly Labour constituency.

Nuttall who has the worst attendance record in the European Parliament does not represent his constituents and you have to think he will continue that record if he wins a seat in the UK Parliament. The Potteries need representation not someone who is there just to pick up his wages.

During the 1980s and 1990s there was an extreme right-wing political party called the BNP(British National Party). At present(in 2017), they have mysteriously disappeared!! But, there are rumours that their loyal supporters are hiding in UKIP!
    Any ideas?

The BNP was around in the 2000s and 2010s as well. It lost its registration as a political party a while ago but may have regained it since.
