Corbyn on his tax return: It’s all there!

Last Updated: March 6, 2017By

Jeremy Corbyn’s office has released a new statement explaining that his tax return is, in fact, complete with everything including his extra salary as leader fully declared.

Here’s the statement:

It seems this is not enough for some – even on Labour’s side. The Guardian has published comments from Jolyon Maugham QC suggesting that the amount declared is too small, and querying whether it was filed under the wrong heading. He says:

Bizarrely, the paper also reports that Corbyn critic Quentin Letts, who writes for the Daily Mail has taken his side:

It’s starting to look very much as though the mass media have read the return wrongly.

If so, then This Site reiterates its original claim:

The fuss over Mr Corbyn’s tax return was made to obscure the fact that Philip Hammond is refusing to publish his own.

@AndyGilder @doncollier here we go again only the same old negative Corbyn Media coverage. It’s either no coverage or negative coverage

One explanation could be that most of the Tory MPs and barristers get paid a huge amount more than Corbyn and they just can’t believe anyone is as honest as he either!
