Damian Green destroyed by Emily Thornberry as she gatecrashes interview

Last Updated: June 1, 2017By

Emily Thornberry criticised Theresa May for “hiding behind the curtains at Number 10” rather than turning up for a televised debate with Jeremy Corbyn.

This is fantastic as it shows up so many failings in the Conservative Party.

Damian Green was being interviewed after the BBC debate yesterday (May 31) – but Labour’s Emily Thornberry gatecrashed and proceeded to rubbish Theresa May, Tory economics and Mr Green’s claims about his own achievements as Work and Pensions Secretary.

She did it all while explaining how Labour would achieve more for the people of the UK.

I can’t understand why opposition politicians aren’t making more of the point that whilst the Tories say that they have more people in work at the same time we have more working people having to rely on benefits.

Ms Thornberry made that exact point in the clip, of course.
I have heard people doing that on several political shows, so I think if they haven’t mentioned it, it’s probably because they haven’t got a word in edgeways.
