This is dynamite: Tory government is LYING about our armed police officers

Last Updated: June 4, 2017By

Peter Kirkham.

When will the Conservatives realise they can’t keep lying and expect us to believe it?

Last week, Home Secretary Amber Rudd told us all that the number of armed police in the UK would be as high as it had ever been, by the end of this year.

But just watch this interview with Peter Kirkham, former senior investigating officer at the Metropolitan Police. He states outright that she is lying:

We know that the number of armed police has been cut by 1,337 under Theresa May’s tenure as Home Secretary and Prime Minister.

Now she – and her current Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, have been caught lying to us about replenishing those numbers.

They are playing silly numbers games with our safety.

Perhaps they have forgotten that there is a general election on Thursday.

Do they really think the British public will vote for a gang of demonstrable liars?

Tories are liars, they’re corrupt, they’re fraudsters, they are the lowest of the low. To quote Nye Bevan “lower then vermin”.

All the better that we show ”Theresa May and her Government the EXIT Door come June 8th – i believe that she’s done us no favours by cutting our police force on our streets – i think once this was known to the public this caused a risk factor with the attacks now happening recently!!

Do you want a fully armed police force? if not how can you set an optimal figure for how many are armed? Should the police be forced to have arms training, or just those who put themselves forwards, after all not everyone would like to hold a gun as part of their every day duties.

the bottom line is Barry it is up to the police commander to decide on what she wonts and it’s for the government to take note and not decide on who does what and disregard the person that they have put in charge of policing

When I go shopping the lovely people who work in the shops especially my local Iceland, they are absolutely Terrified the Tories are going to win, down the road I live near in Hull a “man” stole a car and killed someone, it is getting worse, when I do go out I and all other pedestrians walking where we should, are at the mercy
of grown men and sometimes women riding bicycles on the pavement instead of the road, I nearly got run down by a cyclist coming up behind me I am big enough to see!!
It used to be a £30 fine, now there no police officers around ever!!!

I used to ride a bicycle until the age of 10 but had to stop as riding on the road is dangerous and riding on the pavement is illegal.

What say do we the public have about how many armed police officers we “would like to see” on our streets? Theresa May has reduced the number by 1700 since she became Home Secretary but we only heard this made public today. Is the current level enough or too little or too many? We have little choice but to accept what politicians are prepared to pay for with our taxes ( those of us that pay taxes that is,!). Terror is not something tangible you can have a war with like Nazis or Communists. You can have a war against Terrorists yes. Proper intelligence and surveillance and a political willingness to target potential terrorists when they are first suspected rather than indulge in hand wringing and empty promises like “enough is enough” by Theresa May which is reminiscent of her other stupid statement “Brexit means Brexit”. Defence of the Realm has always been the Govt’s first duty. The Tory cost cutting Scrooge’s in power since 2010 have utterly failed in this and should be shamed and banished from running the country for eons to come.

Armed and trained police officers were unthinkable a few years ago however as terror can appear anywhere anytime from anyone of several types of cells I think the concept needs to be revisited. I had to hand in my club hand gun for the sake of a knee jerk reaction to several out of control UK gun incidents running rampant …. but happening generally infrequently. If frequency of terror attacks rises then local police arming must be seriously considered as no one can cover the enitre uk and major cities…impossible. Before that can be considered the police numbers must be reinstated asap and like the rest of all the public services confidence must be restored to these services who are totally tired of being treated and paid like second class citizens by this lying Government who have been covertly dismantling and privatising the public services.

Wise words from Theresa May after the London stabbings :-
“We cannot and must not pretend that things can continue as they are,” she said. “Enough is enough.”

I agree with her, we have tolerated her dangerous tactics both as Home Secretary and as Prime Minister for far too long and they are simply not working.

We cannot tolerate her incompetence any longer, we need a change of tactics that can only be achieved by a change of Government.
    Enough is enough !
