‘Establishment’ tried to block Heath paedophile inquiry, says police chief who ran it

Wiltshire Chief Constable Mike Veale is to be praised for refusing to give in to ‘Establishment’ bullying.

He is calling for an inquiry into allegations that there is, or has been, a Westminster child sex ring – claiming that strenuous efforts have been made to undermine his inquiries regarding former prime minister Edward Heath.

This Writer would say that indicates an inquiry should go ahead at the earliest opportunity.  Wouldn’t you?

In his first major interview since the release of a report which said seven child abuse allegations against Sir Edward – including the rape of an 11-year-old boy – would warrant questioning the former Prime Minister under caution were he still alive, [Wiltshire Chief Constable Mike Veale has]

Called for a new inquiry to ‘lance the boil’ of ‘sinister’ claims that a Westminster child-sex ring was covered up by the Establishment;

Said he could have spent ‘two or three’ more years investigating Sir Edward if his officers had been allowed to dig deeper;

Attacked ‘sickening’ suggestions that the sexual abuse of ‘rent boys’ and those ravaged by drugs or alcohol was less serious than cases involving ‘wealthy people from Middle England’.

He says a ‘relentless campaign by the Establishment’ to undermine him over the Heath inquiry caused him ‘the most stress and soul-searching I’ve had in 30 years. There were some dark days’.

‘It can be quite sinister. I was told early on in Conifer, “You’ll lose your job, the Establishment will get you”. I’m not a conspiracy theorist. I don’t believe in Martians. I used to think, “What are these people on about?” ’

Asked if the Heath inquiry had changed his mind, Mr Veale replies in a flash: ‘Yes.’

Is he really suggesting allegations of a wider Westminster paedophile ring – dismissed as fantasy after a separate inquiry into ex-Home Secretary Leon Brittan and others collapsed – could be true? Each word of his reply is delivered as carefully and as slowly as a PC stalking a burglar.

‘If any, if even one bit of this [Conifer] is true, what did the Government know, the Civil Service, the security services? Those questions need to be answered.’

    The Establishment will always look after its own. This Chief Constable needs all the support and encouragement he can get to have these matters investigated. Regardless of the fact that these people are dead, it is important that their foul crimes are exposed.

    This needs looking at. There is also the case, I do remember seeing once, of two boys being killed in a var accident at the same time during that conference. I could be wrong , but there are no links to that I can find.
    Yes, Ted Heath may have used rent boys. I also remember reading of a “madam” procuring young men for him.
    There is the usual conflating of gay with peado here, plus I feel there is a huge cover up as well.
    Ted Heath was not a posh boy, and never really liked by the posh gentleman. Focusing on him, which may be needed also conveniently deflects away any wider suspicions about what was going on then (may be still now?)

    CC Veale is a brave man. The fact that he is risking SO MUCH leads me to think that he must have satisfied himself VERY thoroughly that WAS a smoking gun. One thing that craws in my mind is that Heath had no driving licence, but DID own cars and very likely drove them. He might just have been old enough to be driving before Test and Licences became mandatory, and plenty of people did this. However, all the claims that he was driven everywhere makes me ponder that he could have made journeys which his drivers and other staff did not know about. “Not being able to drive” would thus be a pretty good cover. Hmmmm.

    No big surprises here,we have known for many years of these scandals,the Catholic church amongst many that have fed the Beast of injuring innocents, these people have been injured for life,we shrug the problem off by saying ,oh well the press said that the boys were male prostitutes. How can a 6 year old be a prostitute,male of female ,?? Then we have the bigger scandals of the BBC,The orphanages in jersey and other diabolical stories over the years,Sadly for the most the inquiry has gone on too long and the culpable have died, it being named and Shamed,but the inquiry must carry on,to help the poor soals that suffered at the hands of these pleasure seeking paedophiles,of both sexes
