Exclusive: Child sex abuse – Police arrest half brother of prominent Tory MP
Some of you will remember how quickly David Cameron, David Mellor and other big-name Conservatives moved to hush up any implication that Tories might have been involved in child sex abuse after the Jimmy Savile scandal broke last year. Now the half-brother of a prominent Tory MP has been arrested by police following leads on historic child sex abuse, passed to them by Labour MP Tom Watson.
This issue has not gone away, but the right-wing media will try to keep it quiet for as long as possible. Don’t allow it.
Whilst any arrests are welcome into this historic and vile saga,I’ll be happier when the bigger fish are netted!

Trouble is, they seem to “get away with it” everytime. That’s the way Britain/England has always been and, no doubt will be. I read an article that named all the prominent people involved in the historical child sex abuse horror and it was mind boggling to see who was involved! However, whether the site was pulled down or, was quietly dropped under pressure from who knows who/what I do not know. I can’t find it again anyway, nor would I dare to publicise it, for fear I’d be next in line for whatever.

I really hope not. Attitudes are changing and people are increasingly inclined to take action against these crimes wherever they are discovered or believed to be taking place.
don’t we need to be careful how this is approached/reported…some elements of what’s being said feel a bit like witch hunting at this stage at least…the person being spoken about is not a Tory MP…the details about him having a 92 year old mother and living in her house, which is worth £500,000, seems totally irrelevant… I’m at a loss at to why this detail is included.
To be honest, I tend to agree. I reblogged for the reasons stated – to remind people that there are some who would like this kind of police investigation hushed up when it comes near to people or institutions they hold in high regard, but that doesn’t mean that the issue has gone away. The article makes that point.
