Vox Political has been waiting for this meeting, with almost as much impatience as Jayne and Debbie, but it seems Iain doesn’t want to come out and play! Let’s ask why.

What are they hiding? Covering up? And why tie it in with an unknown agenda? hoping it gets lost maybe?
Smith, as we know is a craven coward a well known fraudster, liar cheat and thief, the Government will do anything they can to prevent this storm breaking out, which in turn begs the question exactly what hold does Smith have over Cameron. I reckon Smith has a degree of clout with certain MPs and without that support the Government can’t govern!

IDS was given a boost by Norman Tebbit, who,s seat George Smith now holds.Chingford.

He,Norman Tebbit once said George Smith was more right winged than himself.I doubt he knew just how dim witted Smith is though.

I often wonder if Cameron leaves incompetent George Smith in his post,so when it all goes pear shaped,he can blame Smith.

    Interesting article on UC here.

With openness would come early and public recognition of a scheme that’s too ambitious to be implementable. With secrecy and the gung-ho optimism that seems to pervade projects like Universal Credit many on the project pretend to each other and perhaps even themselves that it’s all doable, while money continues to be thrown away.

For some reason I have this mental movie that runs in my head…

Que scene… 2010 everyone is sat around the cabinet table just prior to the new positions and placements being worked out.

DC says “the first person to say what gets to be DWP minister”… a deathly silence hangs in the room as IDS blinks furiously, due to still being drunk from the night before and having spent most of the lunch time in the commons bar, and says “what” and the room bursts into suppressed giggles and snorts as they try to contain their amusement.

      2011, same table same reason…

DC says “the first person to say what is the DWP ministers job as even the dwp minister hasn’t got a f***ing clue will be the DWP minister”… IDS infuriated by the slight rises drunkenly to his feet and says “what the hell!” Half the chairs go over backwards containing the ministers sat on them as the whole room bursts into absolute hysterics.. some of the older members even wet themselves its so funny.

      2012, same table same reason…

      DC says….

I know its a variation on the old “step forward to volunteer” where the whole line steps backward… except one Lt IDS, but I though it fitting seeing as he was RTU’d due to not being of sufficient intelligence to continue being a glorified bag handler; which is what an aid-de-camp is; and about sums up his level of competence (400 million wasted and counting) at the DWP which lets face it is a job no one wants and anyone who manages, through lack of intelligence, not to avoid being the DWP minister deserves ridicule.

I think we should add that the comment about Mr… Smith being drunk is made for comic purposes and not as an expression of his habitual state in reality. He may very well be several sheets to the wind all the time but we don’t know him well enough to judge.

The following e-mail just sent to my MP:

I would very much like to know why the DWP annual report is eight months late, and also why Iain Duncan Smith is using his minions to make appearances on behalf of his department instead of appearing himself. Has he gone into hiding? He always preaches responsibility to the rest of us yet it seems he does not want to take any himself.

    Best regards
