Kent County Council conducted research into the effects of recent changes to social security on homelessness, crime and the use of food banks. Unsurprisingly the report that resulted from the research found a clear link between the two, and that welfare reforms had had a clear impact. Perhaps even less surprisingly the council leader (a Tory) didn’t like the report one bit, and has since removed it from Kent County Council’s website.
