Homelessness in England rises a shocking 26% under Tory Lib Dem coalition – Pride’s Purge

Statutory homelessness in England has gone up by a massive 26% since Cameron and Clegg’s coalition government came to power, writes Tom Pride in Pride’s Purge.

And the number of people sleeping rough in London has risen by an unbelievable 77% since 2010.

    Everyone involved in dealing with homelessness agrees that official statistics are an underestimate, especially when it comes to rough sleeper counts.
    That is because you can only count the rough sleepers you can find.
    In the rural area I live in I suspect I could easily find between 60 and 100 people either sleeping rough or living in old vans and cars.
    That is a lot worse than it was four years ago.

      Really? And that’s in a rural area!? Hate to guess what it’s like in more urban areas. As if this coalition of elitest scum gives a toss.

        It is far easier for them to hide in a rural area. The ones I do know about are all working. They just don’t earn enough to rent anywhere.
