Greens overtake Lib Dems on Twitter – Pride’s Purge

Tom Pride asks: Isn’t social media supposed to be really important these days? [Yes, they are]

If so, it might be relevant that the Green Party has just today overtaken the Liberal Democrats with the number of its followers on Twitter:

greens vs libdems

.

So the Lib Dems might be looking at not being just the 4th party behind UKIP, but 5th behind the Greens too.

Oh Nick, what have you done?

“Nothing” might be a suitable answer to your question.

Interestingly, UKIP support on twitter is much lower. I will take this as meaning the Green Party are now bigger than UKIP and are the UK’s third party.*

    * Of course it actually just means there is a higher ratio of intelligent, left-wing people on twitter; only the trolls and celeb followers support UKIP.

Actually, the SNP are the 3rd largest political party, so that means that the lib/dems would be behind them, then Ukip and then the greens.
