UK government shuts down free speech with threats of jail (tabloid newspapers exempted) – Pride’s Purge
When the government ministers or members of the establishment talk about free speech, they don’t mean free speech for plebs like you and me, writes Tom Pride.
As an illustration of this, Justice Secretary Chris Grayling has just announced 2 year jail sentences for anyone found to have been dishing out abuse on social media.
But the law will not apply to tabloid newspapers, who dish out abuse on a regular basis – sometimes with tragic consequences?
If the government thinks dishing out abuse online should result in jail, fair enough. But the laws must also apply to newspaper barons too.

Abuse should not be tolerated by anyone including MPs of course. It is important that true statements and comments (excluding abuse) should not be deemed to be abusive.
How many disabled people have recieved agro in the streets, as a result of bile published by the Dacre/ Murdoch empire? That is just trolling on a grand scale.

i saw a reported case where police asked a Green Party member to remove tweets critical of UKIP, Presumably UKIP complained that the comments were representative of the party however they were not abusive and all the comments were bassed on genuine comments from actual UKIP figures.

The police had no reason in law to ask the gentleman to take down his blog article (for that is what it was). Also, of course, nothing he said was abusive; it was fair comment on what WhoKIP had made public.
Thay can say what thay like I have the Wright to say what I feel and as far as I am concerned please get the Torys out get the hole of country to strike bring this country to a stop that will get them thay are afraid of public out cry

What brazen hypocrisy words fail me, each one of this bunch need help they are without doubt mentally unstable, it is really worrying and they are deciding our future !!!!!!!!!!!
