Now, I’ll freely admit to being financially illiterate but there is something about this whole financial farrago that just doesn’t add up.
There is something about this affair that stinks worse than an overripe Stilton Cheese.
I was under the impression that H.M.Treasury were aware that this payment was due for completion for a considerable length of time before the ” news ” was made public- like when the deal was signed.
If this is the case AND they did have full cognizance of the situation then I am forced to conclude that it is all a piece of cheap and tawdry politicking that serves nobody in particular other than some party with a vested interest of some type or other.

I am fully aware that what I have written above constitutes being ranked as a classic ” No S**t Sherlock ” statement but my defence is contained in the first sentence.

Unfortunately, you’re also discussing a completely different matter. This is about bankers’ bonuses; you’re referring to the EU surcharge.

I seem to remember that the jaunt to Brussels etc cost us taxpayers a lot of money.

Appalling. The elite will not be pleased. I bet this will be scrapped under TTIP!
