First by-election exit poll: Lib Dems get 0%! – Pride’s Purge

Last Updated: November 21, 2014By

Thanks to Tom Pride for the following exit poll information from Rochester and Strood:

UKIP – 49 per cent

Conservative – 29 per cent

Labour – 16 per cent

Greens – 6 per cent

Liberal Democrats – 0 per cent.

Tom asks when the Lib Dems will wake up and realise that enabling the Conservatives has ruined their party. The answer should be obvious, by now:

When it’s far too late to recover.

Well, the Lib Dems did get 1% which is better for them then 0% but not much better, and less then 370 votes. It serves them right as well for letting the Tories wreck the country.

Ian Duncan sent this reply. Unfortunately another commenter has complained about an offensive word in his avatar. Rather than continue causing offense, I’ve decided to repeat his words in a comment of my own. I won’t keep doing this forever though, Ian, so if you want to continue being seen here, please change your avatar to one that won’t cause offence!

Ian Duncan writes: Doesn’t this just gladden your heart? No doubt the Clegg will mither on about ‘taking tough decisions’ in the coalition but we all know the only tough decision he took was which wallpaper he wanted in the nice new important office that befits a man of his standing.

The man who helped ruin his country for the sake of his own personal self-aggrandisement..His MPs should have been firmer, too, which just goes to show what moral cowards that party is made up of. God help us if there’s a war, as they say…

Watching his untrustworthy gaggle of quisling hacks get thoroughly cornholed at the election will be the highlight of my year

Thanks, Ian, I appreciate it – and I’m sure others will as well.
