Government priorities – wholesale destruction – A Letter A Day To Number 10

Keith Lindsay-Cameron.

Readers should be aware that the Facebook page of Keith Lindsay-Cameron’s A Letter A Day To Number 10 has been taken over and perverted, and can no longer be used to promote his work. The page he created to replace it has been taken down by Facebook, apparently reacting to a complaint by whoever took over the original. This should not be allowed to prevent people from seeing Keith’s letters and in this spirit, Vox Political is reproducing his latest, here:

Dear Mr Cameron,

News from the BBC, ‘A Department of Health spokesman said mental health was a “priority” for the government’.

I am getting to grips with this government Newspeak malarkey as according to the The Royal College of Nursing there are 3,300 fewer posts in mental health nursing, and 1,500 fewer beds, than in 2010.

Your priorities are very wide ranging, austerity, young people, disabled people, children, Legal Aid, the NHS, the unemployed, the employed, the aged, housing, spare rooms, homelessness, protesters, emergency services, education, and so on. And on.

I know it falls on deaf ears but we really could do with you prioritising a whole lot less if this country is to survive what I hope is your limited time in government.

I know that Iain Duncan Smith is in charge of welfare, but if he calmed down a bit on his rampant prioritising maybe people would stop dying.

Osborne’s economy is the same, he needs to stop making the poor such a high priority, then maybe they might be able to eat some food and heat their homes.

I very much hope that you continue to ignore food banks and to deny any causal link between their catastrophic rise and government policy. If they became a government priority then the poor devils being referred to them might as well just cut their own throats.

Were we all in this together then you’d be prioritising the real benefit cheats in the UK, banks, the aristocracy, corporate tax avoid/evaders and, of course, yourselves, instead of protecting them when you should be protecting the lives of ordinary people.

As usual a great letter from Keith. I am really concerned about what had happened to Keith’s FB page. I miss his daily letters, as I am sure the hundreds who look forward to them every day. I can’t understand how this has happened and how it has not been taken off completely. I hope people who might go on the page let them know how they feel about this theft. Mainly, I am so sorry for Keith, I do hope that he is okay, and that his many friends can find some way of supporting him. It is all very suspicious! We are all with you Keith x

Government take over? I personally think so, that or the police.
Theft is theft whoever took the page over and should be dealt with accordingly.
I’ll reblog and hope that there is someway that Keith can continue his work.

There was an alternative page set up for/with Kieth on the VK social network. I believe it’s still possible to use it, though may be dormant. It was set up just with this kind of eventuality in mind. https://vk.com/keithordinaryguy

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. I checked out the FB page and the person who stole it from Keith is basically talking to himself. I noticed that many of Keith’s ‘friends’ are still on the friend list. Don’t they know what has happened? I want them all to leave the w….r on his own. Why do I have to run around FB looking for Keith? I can’t find him!
Please let him know we miss him very much, and will wait for him to get back on, and welcome him back!
