Expert says DWP robs £300 million a year from most poor and disadvantaged – refuted.org.uk

According to The Void, Job Centres are being awarded special 'sheriff stars' for meeting sanction targets (that's right - the sanction targets that the DWP keeps insisting don't exist, even after being presented with the proof). This is short and nasty, courtesy of Refuted:

Hansard: Jobseeker’s Allowance (Sanctions) “Dr David Webster of Glasgow university, the leading academic authority on benefit sanctions, estimates that the amount of benefit withheld in sanctions is now running at £300 million per yearhttp://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm201415/cmhansrd/cm141218/debtext/141218-0004.htm#141218-0004.htm_spnew3

What a shame that it seems to be mostly from docking the benefit of people who went to job interviews rather than Job Centre interviews, or who were five minutes late for an appointment, or who had been deliberately misled about the time of their appointment, rather than any real wrongdoing.

The government is denying the 7 years lost payout that began in 2013 to a couple of the non-paid out state pension, that is sitting pretty in the ring fenced and full National Insurance Fund since last year and being called wrongly, a surplus of £30 billion.

The Flat Rate Pension will mean NIL STATE PENSION FOR LIFE
and actually far less (lots of small print) not more state pension for bulk of rest.

With raised retirement age, someone 60-66, even if disabled/chronic sick, is liable to lost such benefits as well as benefit sanctions.

And one most recent signers of my petition informs how benefit rule changes further impoverish the poor:
I am a married man and will not retire until I am 68. Under universal credit rules though i cannot get my pension until my wife retires. She is five years younger than me. So for me I will be 73 when i get my pension.

As Labour is predicted to be only neck and neck withthe Tories in the closest to call general election since 1945, then if Labour did a u-turn and repealed the Pension Bills 2010-2014 (latter then revokes the flat rate pension 2016 law), the party could form a majority government in its own right in 2015.

The more sign my petition, the more likely Miliband and Balls will do a u-turn.

A friend of a friend was told to go for 10 interviews one week. She managed to attend 11 and thought they would be pleased…but NO! Two weeks sanction for not obeying. You cannot make it up!
