Remember the ESA deaths when you are voting

Zdwpdeaths

The Disability News Service has reported Vox Political‘s victory over the DWP, whose officers have less than a month to report the total number of deaths involving people claiming Employment and Support Allowance between November 2011 and May 2014.

The article quotes John McArdle, co-founder of campaigning organisation Black Triangle, who said the updated statistics would be vital: “When the truth comes out about the devastation that this has caused, the whole of society will be absolutely appalled.”

Rick Burgess, co-founder of New Approach, which campaigns to scrap the fitness for work test, said: “People should know the cost of policies they are voting upon, especially when they are causing mass deaths.”

There is much more, and you are encouraged to visit the Disability News Service‘s website to read the full article.

If the Conservative Party forms the next government, the deaths will undoubtedly continue – no matter what the figures prove to be, or the public response to them.

Can you bear to have that on your conscience?

In the name of decency can any voter really accept that this is acceptable in a democracy? I for one feel so ashamed of the selfish greed of these people who were put into goverment to manage the country for us; not just for their own gain.

This government has starved and even killed it’s own people just because they happened to be disabled.

indeed mike this should be on all of the polling booths across the country as it is only thing first and foremost that should be on everyone’s mind irrespective of who you are or what you are

Millions of people across the world have lost their lives to the likes of the conservative ways of thinking over the past century and despite all their so called good intentions there policy’s be it at home or overseas always revolve around the deaths of others in there quest to keep hold of a power base be it in the government or in the big businesses

I wanted to vote Green, but I voted Labour in order to help kick out Ester McVay. I have been following your blogs for a while… one blog leading onto another… I attended my first demo EVER at age 55, all down to your blog… which someone called Charlotte green put me onto Johnny Void which put me on to you. Do not give up!

      WOW!
I’m glad you voted Labour to get rid of McVey. I think we need to kill the scourge of Conservatism/neoliberalism – stone dead – before we get onto anything else. That is the struggle of our time. Beyond that, we should be thinking of new ways of ordering our politics, to prevent Toryism coming back and promote new ideas – like those put forward by parties like the Greens.
There’s a lot to do, and the time to start will be tomorrow.

Mike i read and educate my self with your news web page for over four years now. You have done good things like getting the dwp death rates. Mike iam truely shocked after last night election,, iam disabled very very poorly. I had trouble too, like every single disabled person in this country. I voted for labour strongly, as the last four years have been hell. it looks like the tories have clutched it. o my god how, mike, how?

Well done, Mike and thanks for all your hard work, patience and persistence. It will not be an easy road but we have to keep challenging the leaders and holding them accountable and getting involved ourselves at a grassroots level.

Being the change we want to see.

We are many and they are few and time they were well and truly reined in!
